Please see the chart below and select the Pay Category that you qualify for.

                                                            Pay Level
The level of pay is directly related to your qualifications. The pay scale below is used for all GEPIK school within the province and the only thing that will be different for each applicant is the location and age group of the students.

While the GEPIK pay-scale may look less attractive than the salaries you may have seen for private (Hogwan) positions, please consider the whole package, including teaching hours, job security, vacation pay, vacation days, accommodations, etc. In all, you may be trading a slightly higher salary for security and peace of mind.
                                                            Obtaining Level 2 Eligibility
                                                            • It is not as hard as you might expect to obtain Level 2 Eligibility.  All you need to do is enroll in a 100 hour TESOL/TEFL course.
                                                            • Normally, they range close to $1,000, but we've just partnered with Bridge TEFL, since they have excellent value, for accredited courses. This would qualify you for far more jobs – with GEPIK, for sure, but also with other schools if you’re not sure of the direction you are headed.
                                                            • It will earn you a 100,000 won/month pay increase, so it will pay for itself in 6 months
