                                                            What you may not know

                                                            ·      Teach ESL Korea places more teachers with GEPIK than all of the other major recruiters. We place most of our GEPIK teachers by working directly with the schools. In these cases, the schools really trust our opinion, so we can sometimes play on other aspects of the resume, such as community involvement, or related work experience. It also helps everyone involved since you will know the exact school and location before deciding to accept.

                                                            ·      We have an employee meet every one of our GEPIK teachers at the airport

                                                            ·      You will also have your own classroom (the kids will come to you there)

                                                            ·      Keep in mind that an interview request means that the school is serious about you – please do not lead schools on if you know from the start that you are not interested in the job.

                                                            ·      Your pay category can be changed up to a month into the contract if you obtain (Masters degree, Teacher’s Certificate, TESOL/TEFL/CELTA Certificate, etc) in that time

                                                            ·      Rural teachers (as deemed by GEPIK) will receive 100,000 KRW rural allowance/month and 25 paid vacation days/1-year contract.
